It’s like he never missed a minute.
One of the early feel-good stories of the season has been the return of Paul George and, as a result, the Pacers‘ reemergence in the playoff picture.
From put-back dunks, to alley-oop finishes, to step-back jumpers, George‘s full arsenal has been on display early in the season.
George’s numbers have actually been better this season than they were a couple years ago. He’s averaging more points (25.3 compared to 21.7), rebounds (8.6 compared to 6.8) and assists (4.7 compared to 3.5), while shooting the ball better from the floor (.442 FG% compared to .424) and from deep (.427 3PT% compared to .364).
He has tallied 26-plus points in eight-straight games, which is a career-high streak for George and the second-longest such streak in Indiana franchise history.
